A Holistic Approach to Mental Health
Mental health doesn’t exist in isolation. It’s connected to sleep, hormones, relationships, lifestyle, and so much more. Because of this, our team takes time to understand the full picture of your health before developing a care plan. We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all solutions. Instead, we take the time to understand who you are and what you truly need.
Additionally, we believe that care should feel collaborative. You are an active participant in your own mental health journey — and we are here to support and guide you every step of the way.
What to Expect From a Telepsychiatry Appointment
If you’re new to telepsychiatry, it’s completely normal to have questions. Here’s a general sense of what the process looks like when you connect with our team.
Before Your Appointment
First, you’ll schedule your visit and complete any intake paperwork ahead of time. This helps your provider come to your first session well-prepared. You’ll also want to make sure you have a reliable internet connection and a private, quiet space where you feel comfortable speaking openly.
During Your Appointment
Next, your provider will join the video session and take time to get to know you. They’ll ask questions about your experiences, history, and what brought you in. This is a conversation, not an interrogation. You’re encouraged to share as much or as little as you feel comfortable with at first.
Then, together, you and your provider will begin exploring what care and support might look like for you. This may include discussing treatment options, answering your questions, and setting expectations for next steps.
After Your Appointment
Finally, follow-up visits allow your provider to check in on how you’re doing, make any necessary adjustments, and continue building a relationship with you over time. Mental health care is a journey — and each visit is one more step forward.
Taking the First Step
Reaching out for mental health support takes courage. Whether you’ve been considering it for a long time or something recent prompted you to explore your options, the fact that you’re here is meaningful. You deserve care that meets you where you are.
